These Christmas books are my favorites, and they can be yours too.
#1. The Christmas Pickle
#2. The Polar Express
#3. The Crippled Lamb
The Christmas Pickle was my number one pick because of the challenge it presents. A kingdom wide contest is a big deal. I also liked it for the love and compassion the characters show each other, and the politeness of everyone.
I enjoyed The Polar Express because of its feeling of magic. It shows that you always can extend your heart and love.
The Crippled Lamb is the story of Jesus' birth at a different point of view. It is full of hope, and of knowing something better is around the bend.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Sweet Holidays
A Cute Christmas Gift
Candy... you can get it anywhere. Chocolate is one of the best. It is so easy, and everyone loves it. All you have to do is get one of your favorite holiday sweets, and wrap it fancily. It is always appreciated, and if you're busy this season, you can grab it in the store and you are done!

Craft of the Week
What can we make together? Brain-storming picture ideas
#1. My favorite-
Wrapping paper pictures are fun because you don't have to be good at drawing to get a pretty, original picture. Cut out the pieces you want and paste them. We have this adorable zoo wrapping paper, so I made a crazily colored zoo, with a polka-dot background and purple, shiny grass. (All wrapping paper!)
#2. The typical-
I am horrible with a paint brush, so this is not my favorite. But draw a design, paint over it, and voila, a picture for all to see, love, and adore.
#3. 3-Dimensional-
This is so much fun-- it's a gluing mania with pom-poms, beads, and colorful bits of paper. I made a Christmas ornament by gluing sparkly white beads (along with two blue for eyes, and about five orange for a long carrot nose) to a bit of card stock. It made a beautiful snowman! See what you can make 3-D!
#4. Rubber bands-
Make a rainbow by stretching bands around a piece of cardboard. Use different colors to make different designs.
See what pictures you can make!

Best Book of the Week
The Magician's Elephant
Oh, my goodness. I love books full of magic, and this one is awesome! By the same author as Because of Winn-Dixie, this book is full of energetic moments. It may be filled with magic, but that is not the prime characteristic in the book. The prime characteristic in the book is love. The boy is trying to find is sister so he can protect her, as he promised his mother he would. Start reading this book, and you won't put it down until the last magical, magical moment.

Best Book of the Week
Si-cology 101
Written by Duck Dynasty's Uncle Si, this book is hilarious, and gives great stories about Silas's childhood and his service in Vietnam. I enjoyed it very much, and I think that everyone should read it. Look for it in your library or bookstore and comment on how you like it. I hope you love his tales as much as I do. Enjoy your book!

Craft Supply of the Week
Crayola Tempera Paint
It is great. I highly recommend it, if you don't already have your own favorite. I like it best for child craft projects, but adults can certainly use it. It is best for smaller things; get good heavy-duty paint for bigger projects. Can you imagine painting a room with this stuff?! But it certainly serves it purpose for small projects.

Best Book of the Week
The Nesting Place
This is a great book which is all about decorating. The author is Myquillyn Smith, also known for her blog, Nesting Place. It is chock-full of great decorating ideas, such as the duct tape on her bedroom wall, the stumps that are used as bedside and chair side tables (if I recall correctly, there are nine total), and the wreath made of book pages. Learn a lot of unique decor ideas when you read this awesome book.
